OpenAI의 ChatGPT를 iPhone에서도 사용 가능

생성형 인공지능(AI) 챗봇 경쟁을 촉발시킨 오픈AI의 챗GPT를 앞으로 휴대전화 등 모바일에서도 이용할 수 있게 됐습니다.

 

 

오픈AI는 18일(현지시간) 자사 블로그를 통해 아이폰(iOS)용 챗GPT 앱을 출시한다고 밝혔습니다.
이는 지난해 11월 ChatGPT 출시 이후 내놓은 첫 번째 모바일 앱입니다. ChatGPT는 그 동안 OpenAI의 웹사이트에서 온라인을 통해서만 제공되어 왔었습니다.

 

 

 

미라 무라티(Mira Murati) 최고기술책임자(CTO)도 트위터를 통해 이같이 밝혔습니다. 그녀는 삼성전자 갤럭시 등 안드로이드용 버전은 곧 출시될 것이라고 덧붙였습니다.
현재 이 앱은 미국에서 먼저 출시한 이후에  몇 주 안에 다른 나라까지 서비스가 확대될 예정이라고 했습니다.

오픈AI는 이 앱을 통해 질문에 대한 즉각적인 답변이나 여행 계획 등의 맞춤형 조언을 받을 수 있고, 시 등을 짓는데 창의적인 영감을 얻을 수 있다고 설명했습니다.
또 텍스트뿐만 아니라 음성으로도 입력이 가능하다고 합니다. 이 앱은 무료로 사용할 수 있지만, 최신 정보 등 추가 기능을 제공하는 챗GPT 플러스는 웹처럼 월 20달러에 구독해야 사용할 수 있다고 덧붙였습니다. 
​오픈AI는 "아이폰용 챗GPT 앱을 통해 사람들이 최첨단 연구를 유용하게 이용할 수 있도록 지속해서 접근성을 높임으로써 우리의 사명을 향해 한 걸음 더 나아가고 있다"고 밝혔습니다.

ChatGPT의 성공을 이끈 OpenAI의 미라 무라티(Mira Murati)는 다트머스대학교에서 기계 공학을 전공한 후, '골드만삭스', '조디악에어로스페이스', '테슬라', '립모션' 등 다양한 첨단기술 기업들에서 경력을 쌓은 후 2018년 OpenAI에 입사해 현재 OpenAI의 CTO를 맡고 있습니다. 

 

 

미라 무라티는 여성이면서 소수인종(알바니아계) 미국인입니다. 여성이면서 소수인종인 CTO는 실리콘밸리의 다양성 중에서도 아주 드문 경우에 해당합니다. 이는 미라 무라티가 압도적인 천재여서일 수도 있지만, 저는 OpenAI가 인재를 등용할 때, 성별이나 출신, 또는 신분에 상관없이 하나의 비전을 향해 나아가지 위해 여러 다양한 사람들을 포용할 수 있었기에 이를 가능하게 해주었을 것이라고 생각합니다.  

 

전세계에 산업혁명에 버금가는 충격을 줄 것으로 기대되는 ChatGPT는 다양한 배경의 사람들이 성별과 인종에 상관없이 오직 자신의 능력과 비전을 가지고 자유롭게 소통하고, 실험하고, 문제해결을 추구하는 조직 문화가 있었기 때문에 존재할 수 있는 것이 아닐까 생각해 봅니다. 

 

 

OpenAI's ChatGPT, which sparked competition for generative artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots, will now be available on mobile devices, including mobile phones.
OpenAI announced on its blog on the 18th (local time) that it would release a chat GPT app for iPhone (iOS).
This is the first mobile app released since the launch of ChatGPT last November. ChatGPT has only been available online on OpenAI's website.

Mira Murati Chief Technology Officer(CTO), also said on Twitter. She added that the version for Android, such as Samsung Electronics' Galaxy, will be released soon.
She said the app is currently launching in the US and will be rolled out to other countries in the coming weeks.

OpenAI explained that through this app, you can get instant answers to questions, personalized advice such as travel plans, and get creative inspiration for writing poetry.
Also, it is possible to input by voice as well as text. The app is available for free, but ChatGPT Plus, which provides additional features such as the latest information, adds that you need to subscribe for $20 a month like the web.
"With the ChatGPT app for iPhone, we are taking one step further towards our mission by continuing to make cutting-edge research more accessible to people," said OpenAI.

Mira Murati of OpenAI, who led the success of ChatGPT, majored in mechanical engineering at Dartmouth University and worked at various high-tech companies such as 'Goldman Sachs', 'Zodiac Aerospace', 'Tesla', and 'Leap Motion'. She joined OpenAI in 2018 after building her career at , and is currently serving as OpenAI's CTO. She, Mira Murati, is a woman and a minority (Albanian) American. The CTO, both female and minority, is a rare case among Silicon Valley's diversity. This may be because Mira Murati is an overwhelming genius, but I believe OpenAI made this possible because when it comes to recruiting talent, it has been able to embrace a wide variety of people regardless of gender, origin, or status to move toward a single vision.

ChatGPT, which is expected to have an impact comparable to the Industrial Revolution around the world, can exist because people from various backgrounds have an organizational culture that freely communicates, experiments, and seeks problem-solving with only their own abilities and visions, regardless of gender or race. I think it might exist because of that.
